PLATE MAGNETS (brochure.pdf)
Permanent plate magnets can be easily
incorporated into existing installations and cater for the removal
of metal particles from diverse raw materials (for example, food
products, plastics, chemicals, wood, stone and ceramic materials).
Plate magnets protect processing equipment in a reliable and
economic manner, which prevents production processes coming to a
standstill.
PLATE MAGNETS
SUSPENDED OVER THE PRODUCT
In such a situation it is important to let
the magnetic field lines penetrate the product as deeply as
possible, thereby increasing the chances of capturing a metal
particle. In order to achieve this, Goudsmit attaches an extra
magnet between the magnetic poles. This extra magnet pushes the
magnetic flux deeper into the product. We call this flux control.
Hereby, with the same size, approximately 20% more capture power is
achieved.
PLATE MAGNET ATTACHED UNDER THE PRODUCT
If the product flows over the magnet,
the removal of metal particles is easy. During the design phase, we
do not pay attention to the depth penetration but to a magnetic
field on the poles that is as powerful as possible. As a result even
stainless steel particles can be captured. A wedge stops the
now-captured metal particles being dragged along, and they are left
behind it.
PLATE MAGNET IN A PNEUMATIC TRANSPORT PIPE
In a pneumatic transport pipe the product moves at a great speed. That is why it is necessary to place a Neoflux® magnet in it. The products touch the magnet and the powerful magnetic system firmly holds the metal.
CHOICE BETWEEN
FERROXDURE OR NEOFLUX® PLATE MAGNETS
All plate magnets can be equipped with
Ferroxdure or Neoflux® magnets. The differences are listed
below:
